Bible Study
The United Church of Christ believes in the authority of scripture, where the Bible is the ultimate rule of faith and practice. That being said, our denomination was born out of the free church tradition, with the original Congregationalists being the Separatists from the Church of England.

CHRISTIAN SERVICE
We participate in service and offering opportunities year-round. In the fall we collect school supplies for our area schools. Thanksgiving finds us supporting the Salvation Army food basket program. Come Advent, we ring bells for the Salvation Army, purchase gifts for needy children through our angel tree, and provide sacks of groceries for St. Vincent.
We distribute Food at FISH (a local, ecumenical food pantry). We help serve...
MUSIC MINISTRY
First Congregational Church Choirs
With a strong tradition of outstanding music the current choirs consist of:
Chancel Choir
Singing two anthems each Sunday and various responses, rehearses Wednesday evenings, 7:45 – 9:00, and a half hour before Sunday worship, September – May. Cindy Stevens directs our choir and Tyler Menzales plays organ and piano. (see staff page). New voices are always welcome....
CHARITABLE GIVING
As we say in our Guiding Vision Statement, “God’s call to serve is not new. Our legacy of Christian service strengthens our commitment to minister to the needs of the world both inside and outside the walls of the church.” We seek to make a difference, responding to God’s love for us by loving and serving others. After all, Jesus taught us to “love others as he has loved us.”

YOUTH MINISTRY
Children and youth are an important focus of our ministry. We take our responsibility to affectionately nurture our children in the Christian faith seriously. Our program is directed by our Christian Education Coordinator, Janet Koostra, and our nine member Christian Education Board.
