“Blest be the tie that binds, our hearts in Christian love….”
Throughout the season of Lent, our worship services will draw from images of the many fibers that weave us together. As a community of faith that is working towards a fuller unification, what fibers do we bring into that tapestry? What are the threads that give us strength? What fibers need strengthening or mending? What may need to be pulled apart so that this new creation can take shape? How do we bring our unique fibers together to form a strong Christian witness to a world in upheaval? It all calls us to consider God as a great weaver who knows us, has been a part of our past and is weaving together a new future for us. Let begins on March 5 with our Ash Wednesday service of meditation stations. Then, we go into six weeks of Lenten Sundays, our annual pilgrimage towards resurrection. I look forward to sharing the journey with you.
