COVID LEVEL CHANGE
As of July 6, Cascade County remains at level red for Covid. Beginning on June 22, Benefis returned to mandating twice a week testing for staff going into senior service areas. When informed of this change, your Church Council made the decision return to strongly recommending masks for those attending worship out of concern and caution. We will continue to implement our other mitigation strategies – social distancing, check in at door, ventilation, etc. Given these additional precautions, the Council did not feel it necessary to returning to the practice of requiring masks for worship attendance. Keeping in mind that masks not only help protect the wearer but protect those around and greatly reduce the transmission of the Covid virus, the council hopes that masks will be worn even though they are not required for worship attendance.
Sunday, August 14 (Christ United Methodist)
In-person worship will be offered in the church sanctuary at 9:30 A.M. We will continue to register folks upon entry and will have the ventilation system going. Facemasks strongly recommended. Please continue to observe physical distancing as much as possible. Televised worship will air at 9:30 A.M. on local NBC.

The Annual Meeting of the Montana/Northern Wyoming Conference UCC is going to be held virtually via Zoom this fall on September 23, 24, 25. Even though registration is not yet open, this is a call for delegates to “attend” and represent First Congregational UCC-Great Falls. This year’s annual meeting promises to be quite interesting and engaging with the upcoming retirement of Conference Minister Marc Stewart and the significant challenges facing the aging and declining membership within our Conference. Please consider joining Conference Moderator Rev. Lynne Spencer-Smith, incoming Conference Moderator Hank Branom, and your UCC colleagues in attending and representing FCUCC-GF.
Anyone interested in and willing to participate is asked to let Sara Branom, Dick Kloppel, or Karen Spencer know – or let Holly know and she’ll pass the information along. The registration link is posted at the top of this page.
